… to quote the ‘official site of the presidential medal of freedom‘. in full: theodore sorensen, special counsel of the 35th president of the united states, john f. kennedy, said he “was tired of getting up every morning and reading what Khrushchev and Castro were doing; instead, he wanted to read what the President of the U.S. was doing”. kennedy replied: “That’s so, and I’ve been hearing some criticism about it. People are saying that they are tired of getting up every morning and reading what Kennedy is doing. They want to read what Khrushchev and Castro are doing.” either way, we learn: independent of what you are tired of, you are getting up every morning.
